The Opposite of Fear

What is the opposite of fear? In this all-ages service, we’ll explore how we respond to the unknown—through stories, laughter, and a few surprises along the way. Together we’ll reflect on what helps us move from worry to wonder, and how transformation often begins when we face what frightens us with open hearts and minds. After refreshments, kids 3-9 will make paper bag monsters while adults and youth 10+ discuss the opposite of fear.

This month we explore the UU value of Generosity through stories that show how one small act of kindness can grow and spread. We’ll read “A Small Kindness" by Stacy McAnulty and watch short videos that celebrate how compassion ripples outward. Children will create a shared story in a playful “story telephone” game, while adults discuss an article on the “pay it forward” phenomenon. Come join us and be part of the ripple!

Water Communion

Join us for one of our most beloved Unitarian Universalist traditions! This month (theme: Equity) we’ll explore how access to something as simple and vital as clean water differs around the world. Please bring a small container of water (12 oz or less) from a special place in your life—whether it is a favorite lake, the ocean, or even your kitchen tap. Together we’ll pour our waters and our stories into one community.
